What's New in the October 2014 Release of NoveList

Posted October 10, 2014

We revamped the printing and delivery options in NoveList to provide you and your patrons with more effective ways to use the read-alike recommendations and lists in NoveList. These changes apply to NoveList, NoveList Plus, NoveList K-8, and NoveList K-8 Plus. Current subscribers should see these changes roll out at the end of October.

Print only what you need

Use our new compact view to keep the number of pages to a minimum. Or choose from other views including brief, grid, or detailed. All views now include search details at the top of the page for easy referral to the search strategy.

Email results to yourself (or someone else)

We redesigned the layout of emails for a clean, updated look. Add your chosen titles to a folder, and then email the entire list to yourself. Or, email it to someone else as a suggested reading list.

Export-to-csv

Do you ever wish you could export search results for later use? Now it’s possible with our new export-to-csv feature.  This opens up exciting possibilities for you to sort or compare titles as you choose. Exports are limited to 500 records.

If you need help using these new features, please look in product help (located in the top menu of every product) or visit the support center.

Wait, There’s More!

If your work involves helping readers, you’ll love the two new pages we’re releasing:

  • RA Toolbox: With sections such as Becoming a Better Readers’ Advisor and Learning About Genres, this redesigned page is the hub of professional tools in NoveList. Find it under Professional Tools in the top menu bar.
  • Keeping Up… Seasonal Inspiration: No matter the time of year, this page is a handy chart of our best seasonal content. Find it on the RA Toolbox page.
