New Features in the Latest Release of LibraryAware

Posted November 18, 2013

We are excited to announce a new release of LibraryAware (tentatively scheduled for the week of November 18, 2013). Inside the new version, you’ll find:

Expanded browser support

We know that this feature will mean a lot of happy people! We expanded support for most current browsers, and now you can use Chrome, Internet Explorer (10 and above), and Firefox (23 and above) when accessing LibraryAware. Note: this has no impact on your patrons - they can use any browser.

Ability to add audiovisual records

You have more than books in your library... so now we’ve made it really easy for you to add information about movies, music, and other audiovisual materials to your promotions. Let your community know about your collections!

Improved editing

We continue to update the editor in LibraryAware with the latest technology, and this most recent upgrade streamlines many behind-the-scenes functions. But everything still works very much the same as it did before -- the biggest change you’ll notice is a new look on the editing toolbar.

Support for uploading files

Want to share your latest video? Or annual report? Now you can upload it to LibraryAware and link to it from your promotions. We support many different file formats (including .doc, .xls, .pdf, .mp3 and more). Even better… we track clicks so you know how much people are using it.

After this release, we’re ready to begin the migration of NextReads into LibraryAware, but that process will take a few months to complete. Please be patient with us! We’ll be contacting customers individually about next steps.
