5 Ways to Use NoveList's Video Tutorials

The NoveList YouTube channel is the place to go for our video tutorials on searching and browsing in NoveList. Check out these fun ways to use our tutorials in your library.

1. Kick off your staff meetings
NoveList's tutorials are a great way to train all library staff to solve common RA problems. And the short length makes sure they are easily digestible. Try starting off your next staff meeting by showing one of our video tutorials.

2. Have a few minutes to spare?
We know even a few minutes are hard to come by, but at an average of two minutes in length, our videos are great when you have little time to spare. And all of our tutorials have captions, so you can watch no matter where you are -- no headphones needed!

3. Make sure to keep the services you offer top of mind for library staff.
If you have an internal website, try featuring a new NoveList video every month. This reminds your staff that you have resources that can help them in their daily work. It’s easy to add a link to or embed a video playlist, just grab the URL from your browser!

4. Encourage staff to subscribe to the NoveList YouTube channel.
This will ensure that they are the first to know about our latest (or updated) videos.

5. Let your new library staff members do some self-paced instruction.
Have new library staff members, but no full time staff to train them? Point them to our NoveList 101, Searching in NoveList, or NoveList Power Users playlists to learn all about using NoveList.
