New reports are available in the Select Dashboard

Two new features are now available in the NoveList Select Analytics Dashboard: Aggregated reports for systems and consortia customers and a new chart visualizing reader views of NoveList Select back to January 2018. Dashboard users can use these new tools to understand reader engagement with NoveList Select’s catalog at the individual organization and system level.

With many library buildings across the country still closed to the public or in early stages of re-opening, online catalogs have continued to be open to digital browsing, and NoveList Select has continued to enrich readers’ engagement within it. During a time of social distancing, the NoveList Select Analytics Dashboard has been there to provide insights to help library staff remain connected to readers.

Libraries often ask me which collection promotion strategies will be most appealing to their patrons and result in increased circulation. My answer is probably annoying, but true: it depends. What insights do they have into their patrons’ reading habits? What titles, authors, or series are they most interested in? What trends are they seeing in their data?
