All about books at TLA 2017

Howdy! I’m still buzzing from my first time at the TLA Annual Conference last week. San Antonio is a fabulous place for any gathering and overlapping with Fiesta -- icing on the cake.

As a librarian, conferences have always meant time to soak up knowledge and come away inspired -- and I did! I attended two sessions (on Tech Trends and Linked Data) and of course, tried nobly to resist taking too many books as I did my exhibit hall walkabouts.

I noticed a common theme -- a passion for books! Don’t get in between librarians and books. Here are my favorite pics of TLA exhibit hall queue lines.

I was part of the EBSCO team and spoke about “Just-Right” Books. (Since we're talking just-right books, did you know we have a search strategy for that?)

Thanks to all who attended; here’s the view before you got there.

When I wasn’t trolling the exhibit hall or going to a session, I got a chance to speak with many of you. I hope my passion for matching readers with books equaled the passion I saw from conference-goers -- magical.

Too soon, time to leave. In the airport, I was impressed to see this kiosk... and enjoy some great music.

Team NoveList will be at ALA in Chicago -- hope to see you there! Please stop by our booth or email me and we can set up a time to talk NoveList: kstewart@ebsco.com

If you need more NoveList before June, no worries! Join us for a readers' advisory webcast on May 10.

Kathy Stewart is a NoveList Consultant.
