This database provides indexing of periodicals, essay collections, church documents, papal documents and electronic resources expressly addressing the practice and intellectual tradition of Roman Catholicism. Content within its scope is selected for indexing based on enduring scholarly merit.
The Most Comprehensive Database for the Study of Roman Catholic Theology and Spirituality
Updated monthly, ATLA CPLI contains indexing from 1981 to the present, including index records produced by the Catholic Library Association (CLA) through November 2011. The American Theological Library Association (ATLA) acquired CPLI from CLA in September 2011 and holds the copyright for ATLA CPLI. ATLA has concentrated efforts to further develop the scholarly content of the index, with increased coverage of international titles, enhanced coverage of multi-author essay collections, extensive harmonization and enrichment of records across the entire database, and additional electronic-only journals.
