Take a Sensory Journey Through History with One of the World’s Largest Collections of Photography, Video and Graphics

This database captures the greatest events in history and brings them to life with photographs, audio sound bites, graphics and text. AP Images Collection is a primary source database from the Associated Press, one of the oldest and largest news organizations in the world.

The World’s Most Comprehensive and Popular Image Collection

Winning 31 photo Pulitzer Prizes to date, the AP has long been recognized for its news coverage and groundbreaking photography. With coverage spanning more than 185 years and more than 3,500 photos added daily, this comprehensive collection grants access to images that have contributed to the organization’s unrivaled legacy.

Accessible through a variety of searches – from keyword and category to color and concept searching – imagery in this collection is readily available whenever you need it and can be used to enhance research reports, theses, PowerPoint presentations and more.

Enhance Image Searching with Discovery

Institutions that also subscribe to EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) are now able experience high-end image searching of AP Images Collection right from within the EDS search experience. The seamless integration of AP Images Collection with EDS is not available via any other discovery service. Access to AP Images Collection via EDS is an optional service. EDS is not required to access AP Images Collection as a stand-alone database.

The Advanced Search screen takes most of the guessing out of complicated searching for savvy users, and the simple layout makes communicating available options to new users a breeze.
