This superior index, produced by NISC South Africa, combines databases sourced from Africa, Europe and North America to form a multidisciplinary aggregation of unique, extensive coverage of African research and information. This includes content from South African Studies, African Studies, and African HealthLine, which focuses on all aspects of health relating to Africa and other developing nations.

The essential resource for those interested in African studies or in researching Africa, Africa-Wide Information features a wide variety of content dating back as far as the 16th century. This content includes pertinent information from all 56 African countries, as well as the surrounding islands. 

Bibliographic and full-text databases within the collection derive from major African Studies and International specialist African organisations worldwide. A few of these databases include Index to South African Periodicals, IBISCUS, the Africa Institute Database, African Journal Online, Media Africa, and NAMLIT, which is compiled from the National Library of Namibia.
