RIPM Online Archive of Music Periodicals (FullTEXT) is a unique collection of primary source material— not available in any library— for the study of music and musical life from approximately 1800 to 1950. It is also the only extensive collection available online for music periodicals dating from the Early Romantic to the Modern period, from Beethoven to Bartók and from Schubert to Stravinsky. With a first installment of over 50 rarely available journals selected by international specialists, the RIPM Online Archive offers an almost daily chronicle of musical activities, and immense possibilities for original research. RIPM Online Archive is a full-text version of journals indexed in RIPM Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals. The RIPM Online Archive is updated every six months with new titles.

RIPM Online Archive’s exceptional interface offers easy and intuitive page manipulation including a zoom feature, the highlighting of the section of the journal page corresponding to the selected record, and the use of two browser windows to view simultaneous search results or an annotated Calendar and the corresponding journal page. A detailed Table of Contents (Calendar) introduces each journal issue, and each page view includes a complete bibliographical reference.
