EMBASE
EMBASE, a biomedical database produced by Elsevier, contains bibliographic records with citations, abstracts and indexing derived from biomedical articles in peer-reviewed journals, and is especially strong in its coverage of drug and pharmaceutical research.
EMBASE covers nearly 5,000 active journals, of which nearly 2,000 are unique. Each EMBASE record contains a full bibliographic citation, and over 80% have an abstract. In addition, all EMBASE records are indexed using EMTREE, Elsevier’s Life Science thesaurus, with an emphasis on comprehensive indexing of drugs and chemicals.
With its comprehensive, international and up-to-date coverage, EMBASE is an indispensable bibliographic database for researchers and information specialists who need to access the world's biomedical and drug literature.
Note: EMBASE via EBSCOhost is not available for purchase in hospitals affiliated with an academic institution.
