Book Review Digest, produced by the H.W. Wilson Company, is a reference database that provides review excerpts and book summaries from 1983 to the present for current English-language fiction and non-fiction books for all ages. Abstracting and indexing is included for more than 163,950 books, with more than 8,000 new records from 120 periodicals added per year. Review abstracts contain bibliographic indexing for further reviews. Indexing of nonfiction books have received reviews in at least two or more periodicals indexed in Book Review Digest while fiction books have received reviews in at least three different periodicals.

Book Review Digest is searchable by title, author, keywords, subject heading, ISBN, call number and more. Abstracts include age/grade level of children's books and include the approximate number of words in the complete review, allowing users to search for any word or name in this field.
