Continuing Medical Education
Continuing Medical Education (CME), is required for physicians to maintain competence and to incorporate new knowledge that will improve quality medical care for patients and their communities.
Continuing Education (CE) is required for nurses and nurse practioners and includes participation in courses, classes, workshops, and other means for the purpose of developing and updating professional skills to provide appropriate nursing care.
CME/CE credits can be obtained using DynaMed and Nursing Reference Center.
Cinahl Information Systems is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). This strengthens the quality of CE credits provided within EBSCO Publishing’s nursing and allied health resources products as the content is rigorously reviewed by objective standards.
Cinahl Information Systems is also accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). IACET's mission is to promote and enhance quality in continuing education and training through standard setting.
