Human Genome Mapping
"Life is a series of collisions with the future; it is not the sum of what we have been, but what we yearn to be."
-Jose Ortega y Gasset
The Human Genome Project was launched at the end of the 20th century, to successfully map the chromosomes on the human genome, and in so doing, to advance science and medicine. In 2000, the first rough draft of the genome was published, and since then it has been refined to greater detail.
