American Town, written by Alan Pearsall and published by EBSCO Publishing, is the story of the town of Ipswich from its origin to today. The book begins in 1600 with Agawam, travels to the settlement of Ipswich in 1633, follows the town through wars and witchcraft, and ends with its industrial history, including a stocking and lighting factory, and ultimately EBSCO Publishing. Meant as a descriptive compliment to the mural painted on the outside wall of EBSCO's Old Mill building in downtown Ipswich, American Town weaves rich illustrations and photographs of every era into its story.
