IPSWICH, Mass. — April 10, 2012 — EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) is making it easier for library staff to search for e-books and audiobooks and add them to their collections with the new EBSCOhost® Collection Manager (ECM). ECM can be used to search or browse for e-books and audiobooks by title, author, publisher and more or make selections from the Subject Sets or Featured Collections created by EBSCO’s collection development experts. ECM can also help libraries create and manage lists of titles they want to expose to patron drive acquisition (PDA), manage deposits and determine which ownership models to apply to the various e-books and audiobooks in their collection.

EBSCO Publishing’s Patient Education Reference Center™ Continues to Expand into Electronic Medical Records

IPSWICH, Mass. — February 21, 2012 — Hospitals and healthcare systems using Epic as their electronic medical record (EMR) system are now able to easily integrate patient information content from Patient Education Reference Center (PERC) from EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO). The integration will allow mutual customers to access PERC within the Patient Discharge Module enabling healthcare providers to meet criteria outlined in the U.S. government’s Meaningful Use objectives, which require eligible healthcare professionals and hospitals to provide patients with electronic care information, including discharge instructions.

EBSCO Publishing and Isabel Healthcare to Provide Integrated Access to Content in Isabel and DynaMed™

IPSWICH, Mass. — February 21, 2012 — Institutions using the clinical decision support resources Isabel and DynaMed  will benefit from tighter integration of the two tools. A new agreement between Isabel Healthcare and EBSCO Publishing allows direct linking between the Isabel diagnosis tool and the evidence-based point-of-care tool DynaMed, allowing mutual customers tolink from one resource to the other. The agreement brings the evidence-based content from DynaMed into the diagnostic process and allows users easier access regardless of whether a search begins in Isabel or DynaMed
