Highly-Annotated Indexing from Detailed Analysis of Content

The RIPM Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals database is updated biannually and currently indexes the contents of over 140 music periodicals, including articles, reviews, illustrations, music examples, advertisements, press reviews and more. RIPM's highly-annotated indexing is based upon a detailed analysis of the content. Of great interest is the fact that RIPM provides keywords in context, thus allowing users to determine immediately if a given citation is of interest. RIPM's system saves users an immense amount of time in comparison with mechanical, OCR indexing.

International Coverage

RIPM offers more than 5,000 English-language translations of articles from journals in other languages. New titles are added to the database every six (6) months.
